Kevin Nguyen, 29, of Bensalem, was arrested again for messaging two teen girls online on Monday, Oct. 21, according to the Bensalem Police Department. Nguyen's arrest was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The investigation began in June when officers received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, police said. A user of the social media app IMVU, later identified as Nguyen, was messaging the account of a 13-year-old girl describing sexually explicit acts he wanted to commit on her.

Officers traced the IMVU account to Nguyen's residence on Cricket Lane, leading to a search warrant, according to police. During the execution of the search warrant, Nguyen admitted to sending the messages and told police that he was also using Discord, another social media app, to send similar messages to other teen girls.

When officers searched that app, they found Nguyen had an extensive messaging relationship with a 14-year-old girl where they discussed having sex in graphic detail and shared sexually explicit images with each other, police said.

Nugyen was charged with:

  • Felony Unlawful Contact with Minor - Sexual Offenses.
  • Felony Contact/Communications with Minor - Sexual Abuse.
  • Felony Criminal Solicitation.
  • Felony Criminal Use of Communication Facility.
  • Misdemeanor Corruption of Minors.

He is currently being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail, according to court documents. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Nguyen pleaded guilty to two counts of Possession of Child Pornography in 2021 and was sentenced to 23 months in prison, court documents state. He was registered as a Tier 1 Sex Offender for a period of 15 years, according to police.

After serving that sentence, he was released, police said.
